New Electrical Mains Room

One of our clients recently carried out a complete upgrade to all their packing lines using more sophisticated automation. In the initial design stage, we identified that their current power capabilities would not be sufficient to undertake this project and we were tasked with providing a solution.

We designed a new electrical switch room as this would be the best route to take to give them the power needed and future proof the site for any other projects that they wished to undertake.

In the new switch room, we installed a new 400Amp MCCB panel board accompanied by two 24way three phase distribution boards local to the proposed location of the project.

The purpose of the two distribution boards was to allow obvious separation between new automation power supplies and new process equipment.

We also installed new containment routes in and around the factory, making sure that these would be accessible for additional supplies in the future.

With a very good onsite relationship between us and the client, this project was delivered on time and within budget, overcoming many challenges due to the factory still producing product whilst the project was going on.

The success of this project was largely due to good communication, progress in meetings and our highly skilled engineers understanding the needs of the client.
